We invite you for a drink in our Library Bar, where you will find a unique collection of more than 5000 books, all signed by authors who have stayed at the Ambassade Hotel.
We serve classic cocktails, a selection of the best beers, delicious cappuccinos, the finest whiskeys, wines, and more. We also offer a selection of snacks & bites. Several games such as backgammon & chess are available for use.
CoBrA
The heart of the Ambassade CoBrA collection is located in Restaurant Ambassade. Larger and smaller oil paintings are combined with sculptures and works on paper. This makes dining in Restaurant Ambassade feel like dining in a cozy museum.
CoBrA art
The heart of the Ambassade CoBrA collection lives in Restaurant Ambassade. Inside, you’ll find a mix of big and small oil paintings alongside sculptures and drawings, creating an atmosphere that feels like a cozy museum, full of intimacy and charm.
The CoBrA movement was a European avant-garde movement active from 1948 to 1951. CoBrA stands for Copenhagen, Brussels, and Amsterdam, representing the cities where the movement originated. It brought together artists from various backgrounds who sought to create art that was spontaneous, experimental, and expressive. CoBrA artworks are often characterized by bold colors, primitive forms, and a childlike sense of creativity. The movement had a significant impact on the development of contemporary art, influencing subsequent movements such as Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art.
