The Ambassade Hotel is located on the Herengracht in the vibrant centre of Amsterdam.
For our hotel we are looking for a passionate, talented F&B Manager to lead our staff in the Brasserie, Library Bar, Room Service and Banqueting. You will work together with an enthusiastic team of F&B professionals.

Our F&B department includes Brasserie Ambassade, the Library Bar, Room Service and Banqueting.

Together with the team, you ensure the success of our F&B department. You coach, motivate and supervise the team, and ensure the quality and development of both the department and the team members. It is a hands-on position, in which you support the operation on the floor. You will also be part of the Management Team of the hotel.


Brasserie Ambassade serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. During lunch and dinner we serve French dishes with a modern twist. We only serve the best ingredients and the finest wines. Our aim is to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience.

Our Library Bar is open daily and we serve the finest drinks and classic cocktails here, furthermore we offer our hotel guests 24 hours Room Service and we have a wide range of banqueting possibilities.


In coordination with the Operations manager and General manager, you set up a yearly plan for the department;

Together with the team you provide hospitable and personal service to our guests;

You ensure the correct implementation of the annual plan and the procedures within the F&B department;

You are responsible for the HACCP and cleanliness of the department;

By actively putting forward proposals and new ideas based on feedback from our guests, you achieve positive results and a higher turnover within the department;

With the team you work according to the set standards for the department;

You maintain contact with the various suppliers;

You conduct the performance, assessment and evaluation interviews and you take the lead in organising departmental meetings;

In cooperation with the HR department, you contribute to the personal coaching and development of the employees on the work floor.

  • Completed degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management or similar;

  • Hospitality and leadership are in your DNA;

  • You have 3 years of working experience in a management position;

  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in a Food and Beverage department;

  • You have numerical insight and experience in working with numbers;

  • In every situation you remain calm and able to keep an overview;

  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English, multiple languages are definitely a plus.
